Country Draw is a redraw country borders game you can play free in a browser. The prompt gives you a country or U.S. state, and the map provides geographic context without showing the target border. Draw the outline you remember, submit it, and inspect your dashed attempt against the real green line. There is no registration, download, timer, paid round, or account gate between sessions.
The current World rotation contains 22 named countries, while U.S. States mode contains all 50 states. That is the real playable pool—not a claim of 200+ game targets based on background map data. A daily mode serves the same five countries for the UTC date, and normal practice continues as an automatic five-round session at your own pace.
The replay loop
How the free country border game works
- Choose World or U.S. States. The map and target pool switch together.
- Use Move map if needed. Pan or zoom, then return to Draw so navigation does not leave accidental marks.
- Draw one or more strokes. A mouse, trackpad, stylus, or finger all work; Undo removes the latest stroke.
- Submit for a comparison. The game focuses the real region and overlays your normalized attempt.
- Continue automatically. Study the reveal; the next target starts without a Next button, and round five opens a summary.
Real scoring, not a pass/fail quiz
Border is 60% and Shape is 40%
Before scoring, the game centers and scales both drawings into the same comparison frame. Your original map position and drawing size do not decide the result, but aspect ratio, orientation, bends, and enclosed space still do. Accuracy combines 60% Border fit with 40% Shape or structural fit. A simplified coast can earn useful credit; a rectangle with the wrong proportions cannot hide behind a few decorative zigzags.
Shape uses silhouette overlap when the outline is genuinely closed. Open paths stay open rather than being joined by an invented straight edge. Compact archipelagos receive a softened structural comparison so the main islands and shared direction matter more than tiny remote dots. The separate Extra reading shows how much of the relaxed stroke mask falls outside the target structure.

Can I retry a border?
Clear restarts the current outline before submission. After five scored rounds, Play Again starts a new session.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Draw with one finger and switch to Move map for deliberate panning or pinch zoom.
Where is progress stored?
Daily completion and best scores are stored locally in this browser. There is no player account or public leaderboard.
Start simple, then redraw the error
Egypt is a practical first target: build a near-rectangle and remember the Sinai extension. Chile tests whether you can preserve a very narrow proportion.
