About the project
We learn maps by trying to remake them.
Country Draw is a free online geography game created in 2026. It asks a simple question: can you draw a country’s border from memory when the world map is visible but the answer is not? Each round turns passive recognition into active recall, then gives you an immediate visual comparison.
The project is built for curious adults, students, teachers, and anyone who has ever recognized Italy but struggled to place another country precisely. The map data comes from the open Natural Earth dataset through the world-atlas project. We aim to keep the game fast, accessible on phones, and usable without an account.
